EPC – the partner for innovation and climate expertise.
EPC gGmbH places the development and implementation of innovative, applied research projects at the center of its activities. All projects serve the sustainable development of our society. The thematic focus is on climate change and adapting to its consequences.
EPC works on an interdisciplinary basis and carries out municipal, regional, national and international projects in cooperation with partner organizations from science and practice. In addition to the technical focus, communication and participation processes are important areas of work. The communication of specialist content and the involvement of relevant stakeholders in planning and implementation processes form the basis for the effective transfer of results and their subsequent usage in practice by third parties.

Climate expertise
Adapting to the consequences of climate change is a central aspect of our work. We are committed to implementing projects that minimize the climate risks in our society. In doing so, we attach great importance to involving as many relevant stakeholders as possible in order to develop holistic strategies that can be implemented in practice.

Competencies
EPC’s portfolio of activities focuses on climate, climate change and climate impact adaptation. We develop and carry out practical research projects and contract research. The range of activities includes joint projects, strategy and concept development as well as innovative participation processes and customized training for various target groups.
Our core competencies are based on many years of experience in numerous projects at local, regional, national and international level. EPC focuses on strategic-conceptual tasks and activities that are generally innovative and pioneering in nature and suitable for subsequent multiplication. The focus is on strategies and processes for participation as well as the development of technical and conceptual foundations for subsequent consulting or planning processes.
Our employees bring extensive experience from applied research contexts in climate change, expertise in analog and digital participation formats as well as the experience necessary for knowledge transfer and communication in the areas of PR, social media and graphic design.

History
EPC gGmbH was founded in 2017 as a non-profit and applied research SME in Berlin. Since then, we have continued to grow in line with our goals and mission statement in the field of climate change.
From the beginning until today, EPC has cooperated with many partner organizations from science and practice, including Fraunhofer institutes, universities and other recognized institutes and companies from Germany and other European countries.
A milestone in this development was the spin-off company CLIMATICON GmbH in 2022. Since then, EPC and CLIMATICON have been cooperating with similar focal points but different methods and objectives.
Team
Our team of geoscientists, planners, graphic designers and other experts with related qualifications reflects EPC’s interdisciplinary professional orientation and broad expertise.
Network
A network of applied scientific partner organizations established over many years forms the basis for EPC’s successful work. We cooperate closely and trustingly with renowned institutes and organizations from the applied sciences and practice in both established and new partnerships.
In these alliances, we can effectively contribute our expertise and, in combination with the extensive knowledge of our cooperation partners, harness it for the benefit of the projects and our target groups.
Career
